I have worked alongside a lot of talented people in my career. I have never met anyone who gives more of himself to veterans than Brian Nichols.
Brian is a United States Navy veteran who has spent more than two decades making sure the men and women who served this country land on their feet when they come home. Over that career he has recruited more than 25,000 professionals at every level, from hourly employees to C-suite executives, across industries ranging from global security operations to federal agencies, healthcare, and professional services. Five thousand of those placements are veterans.
He was one of the first implementors of the DoD SkillBridge program, helping build the infrastructure that now gives transitioning service members a runway into civilian careers before they ever leave the military. At the Wounded Warrior Project's Warriors to Work program, he built internship and employment pipelines at organizations including the Department of Homeland Security, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Cisco, creating more than 100 recurring positions annually for veterans with significant barriers to employment. He was invited to speak before Congress on Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Day in 2013 and recognized as a national subject matter expert on veteran employment.
He mentors veterans on Post-Veterati, 50 Strong, and MilMentor. He serves as Vice National Commander of Combat Veterans of America, on the Advisory Board of TAVS USA as Lead Instructor for Interview Techniques, on the VA CARE Advisory Board, and as an ESGR volunteer for Rhode Island and Connecticut. He reviews resumes at The Honor Foundation and presents to Onward to Opportunity Cohorts on translating military experience into civilian impact.
He does all of this because he genuinely cannot imagine doing anything else.
