Ms. Sudduth is a highly regarded leader in business development and Veteran mental health services. She is the Founder of ValKri Consulting and Project Management, a Veteran-owned and operated firm specializing in the development and/or restructuring of mental health and substance use treatment facilities for Veterans, first responders, and children. She also currently serves as the Military Liaison for San Marcos Treatment Center, connecting military families with mental health resources and residential care for children. As the Director of Business Development at First Dawn Recovery, Ms. Sudduth led teams across four U.S. facilities, forged strong partnerships with VA facilities and military bases, and significantly expanded access to essential mental health resources. In May 2025, she and her team received a formal Commendation from the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners in recognition of their exceptional efforts in establishing a dedicated outpatient facility serving Veterans, Active Duty service members, National Guard members, Reservists, and First Responders.

My husband and two sons mean the world to me. I watched my husband retire after 21 years of service as he courageously battled PTSD. Now, we are supporting our oldest son on active duty with 7 years and three deployments and his wife as they face the same difficult road so many military families know. Our youngest, 15, has carried the weight of multiple deployments, constant PCS moves, and his own ADHD struggles while both parents served. I have also walked my own painful journey with PTSD. Through friends’ divorces, deaths in war, and heartbreaking suicides, our family has endured immense hardship. With God’s grace, we have held each other up. Their fierce love and support have been my strength, just as I have been theirs. Together, we have grown stronger in resilience, empathy, and unwavering faith. They are my greatest motivation. Having carried the heavy load of military life, I now carry hope in recovery helping other service members, veterans, and families heal.
Valerie is a ret. Navy Chief with 24 years of distinguished service, retiring from the 2nd Marine Logistics Group at Camp Lejeune. She & her husband, Nick also a ret. Navy Chief, raised two sons: their eldest, now serving as a Navy Hospital Corpsman, and their 15y/o. Valerie earned a BSN in Criminal Justice and is nearing completion of her master’s in forensic science, embodying a lifelong pursuit of excellence. With a diverse background as a Business Owner, Military/Veteran Liaison, Regional Account Manager, Director of Business Development, and Project Manager, she has built meaningful connections between quality treatment and those who serve including veterans, active-duty service members, their families, and First Responders. Today, as the Military Family Liaison at San Marcos Treatment Center, she continues this mission by guiding military families to essential mental health resources and compassionate, high-quality children’s residential care.
