Gary Travis is a decorated Marine Corps combat veteran who has continued a life of service through careers in law enforcement and now as a firefighter. He remains actively committed to serving his community both professionally and through his work as the founder of Guardian Grounds Homes.
Gary has been recognized by the Sacramento Area Reentry Collaborative (SARC) for his efforts in providing structured, supportive housing for veterans and justice-involved individuals working to rebuild their lives. His leadership reflects a continued dedication to service beyond uniform, focusing on creating stability and opportunity for those in need.
Through Guardian Grounds Homes, Gary has launched his first home and is actively expanding to a second, increasing his capacity to serve. He works closely with community organizations, reentry programs, and support services to create a network that helps individuals transition into independent and productive lives.
