Transitioning from the military to civilian life was one of the most challenging yet defining experiences of my journey. After serving 20 years as an HR practitioner in the U.S. Coast Guard, I faced firsthand the uncertainty that comes with redefining one’s identity and career path. That experience lit a fire in me to help others navigate that same road with confidence and clarity. For the past three years, I’ve served as a Career Services Advisor, supporting a growing community of veteran and student learners each month as they transition from the classroom to the workforce. I empower them with tools, strategies, and encouragement to succeed in their next chapter. Beyond my professional role, I actively volunteer in organizations that support military families, career readiness, and community empowerment. Every resume reviewed, every coaching session, and every small win shared reminds me why I serve in this new capacity. It’s not just my job—it’s my mission.
