Supporting transitioning veterans isn’t just part of my job—it’s a personal mission. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating a civilian career and saw the critical need for structured, meaningful support. That’s why I helped design and now manage GDIT’s Military Talent Programs, a comprehensive onboarding initiative created to guide service members through their first year in the civilian workforce. Through MTAP, I’m able to apply lessons learned from my own transition to help others build a strong foundation for success. Outside of work, I’ve remained committed to the Veteran community, volunteering with Veterati for over 18 months and now serving as a mentor with American Corporate Partners. Whether through formal programs or one-on-one guidance, I’m passionate about empowering veterans to recognize their value, translate their military experience, and find purpose in their post-service careers.
I retired from the Marine Corps as an Infantry Weapons Officer (Gunner) after 28 years of service. After hanging up the uniform, I joined General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) as a project manager supporting the Navy Seabees. I went on to earn my Master’s degree in Project Management from the University of Southern California, then transitioned into a new role focused on military onboarding. I now manage GDIT’s Military Talent Programs, which I had the honor of designing to support the successful transition of veterans and service members into the civilian workforce. I hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI and a Virtual Instructional Design certification from ATD. I’ve also made it a priority to give back, volunteering with Veterati for over 18 months before they closed their doors, and now serving as a mentor through American Corporate Partners. Supporting the military community continues to be my purpose and passion.
