My earliest memory is a vivid snapshot of me on a weathered metal slide, filled with trepidation; I tumble to the ground. My father, in his olive-green dungarees, lifts me with comforting arms. His strength inspires me to seek fulfillment beyond myself. Who I am is the result of those I served with. After my third deployment, I faced an unexpected challenge: a diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes, which brought me back to Wyoming and led me to a new mission as a Military Liaison. I championed the rights of veterans and provided support to those who had faced unimaginable trials. I recall sitting with a dying veteran, knowing I made a difference in their final moments. Embracing new challenges, I became an instructor at Casper College, where I found joy in creating an engaging classroom environment. I encouraged my students to engage deeply and question boldly, believing in the philosophy of "Iron sharpens Iron."
