After my service I went to school, first getting an AA degree, then a bachelor's degree in business and then received my Master's degree in Disaster and Emergency Management. I was married for 30-years until my wife pasted away to the Alzheimer's disease. While we were married I supported her in her own military career where she achieved the rank of CSM. We have two sons who are both currently serving with the USAF.
While in the United States Army I started my career in Armor and moved around in other positions over my career. I was honorably discharged after 23 years of dedicated service, including deployment to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm during the Gulf War. After my service I started volunteering at my local American Legion, I've served as the Commander, 1st Vice and I'm currently serving as the Post Finance Officer. I'm also the Honorary CSM for the 141 Regimental Association.
