Matthew Bowman is a United States Marine Corps veteran and a standout student athlete at Thomas University. He was named 2024 Veteran Of the Year for the state of Georgia, 2024 Military Friendly Student Veteran Athlete of the Year. A leader on and off the field, Matthew served as a captain of the Thomas University football team, where he guided teammates through a coaching transition, mentoring younger athletes. He was named to the 2024 Sun Conference All-Academic team, named to both Dean's list and President's list multiple times through his college journey. In addition Matthew volunteers as a tutor, is very active in the community, and plays a role in the Student Veterans of America chapter at Thomas, supporting fellow veterans and student service members. His commitment to service, leadership, and excellence continues to inspire his peers and strengthen his community.
